Recent Study India is Witnessing alarming rate of conversion – DIABETES DESTINATION

Yet another milestone achievement by Dr. Mohan's Diabetes Specialities Centre

A 3 month old infant, Baby Ivana Das, an insulin dependent, was brought to Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialities Centre and was diagnosed with Neonatal Diabetes.
She was successfully treated after genetic analysis by the team of experts at Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialities Centre.

Addressing the media, Dr. Mohan, Chairman & Chief Diabetologist, Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialities Centre informed that “Neonatal diabetes is a rare form of diabetes and is totally different from Type 1 (juvenile-onset, or insulin-dependent) diabetes and type 2 (adult-onset, or non-insulin dependent) diabetes. Making an accurate diagnosis of neonatal diabetes is important since many of these children can be managed with oral diabetes tables, than with insulin”.

With the right diagnosis and proper treatment protocols, the baby is now insulin independent and can continue with just tablets, which is a miraculous happening in her life. We wish her a healthy and happy years of long life!
