The bladder holds the liquid waste created by the kidneys until it leaves the body during urination.<\/p>\n<p>Diabetic kidney disease or Diabetic nephropathy is a damage to the kidney due to diabetes over time. Uncontrolled diabetes affects the small blood vessels in the kidney which reduces the ability to remove waste and leads to <a href=\"https:\/\/oldlive.drmohans.com\/diabetic-nephropathy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">diabetic nephropathy.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7234 size-medium alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/oldlive.drmohans.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/hba1c-blood-test-300x201.png\" alt=\"hba1c blood test\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" \/>Remember in early stages there may not be any symptoms. This test is to be checked at least once in 6 months or more frequently, if value is elevated<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6UxtCZD6Kpk\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Liver function test (LFT) <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The liver is the large organ in the right side of the stomach .All the blood leaving from the stomach and intestines passes through the liver. Liver processes the blood and breaks down, toxic chemicals balances and creates the nutrients and also metabolizes drugs into forms that are easier to use for the rest of the body to non toxic products.<\/p>\n<p>Diabetes<br \/>\nExcess intake of alcohol<br \/>\nFatty liver<\/p>\n<p>Liver function test to be checked at least once in 6 months, repeat more frequent if abnormal<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/l1HSKhvv8N8\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>LFT is to be checked more frequents in the following conditions<\/p>\n<p><strong>Haemogram <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Haemogram refers to a group of tests performed on a sample of the blood. Haemogram test \u00a0is a screening panel that checks for the presence of any diseases and infections in the body. They comprise of Sodium Potassium Chloride and Bicarbonates. They are in blood, urine, tissues and other body fluids .Electrolytes are important because they help to balance the amount of water in our body. They helps in the diagnosis and management of renal and many other conditions. They also help to evaluate the progression of renal disease are helpful in deciding dosage of BP medication to prevent electrolyte imbalance by early detection.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Electrolytes to be checked once in 6 months and more often if one is taking<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BP medication and diuretics or<br \/>\nIf the serum and creatinine is high<\/p>\n<p><strong>Also check electrolyte if you have any of following complaints<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Weight gain<br \/>\nSwelling of feet<br \/>\nAbnormal Kidney function<br \/>\nDehydration<br \/>\nVomiting<br \/>\nLoose stools<br \/>\nGiddiness<br \/>\nMuscle cramps<\/p>\n<p><strong>Risk for electrolyte imbalance :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Uncontrolled diabetes<\/li>\n<li>Age<\/li>\n<li>Hypertension<\/li>\n<li>Pre existing renal disease.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Heart Tests for diabetes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Heart disease is common in people with diabetes. While all people with diabetes have an increased chance of developing heart disease, the condition is more common in those with type 2 diabetes. In fact, heart disease is the number one cause of death among people with type 2 diabetes. <\/p>\n<p>When you have diabetes, your chance of heart disease goes up, so you may need tests that check how well your ticker is working.
